Good Evening All! π How’s everyone doing thus far?
Every year when the Poui trees bear their radiant flowers on the isles I usually take images of it to share on the blog and categorized it under “Spring Time” since we here on the islands only experience two seasons which is rainy season and dry season.
Usually rainy season starts like within the late parts of April but unfortunately that has changed drastically. Right now we are still in the dry season. The climate has changed a lot and the sun is more hot than before. Mostly everything has dried up. Including the Poui trees in our yard sadly. They didn’t birth much flowers at all and it was pretty sadden for me.
It shows that our time on earth is quickly coming to an end. The earth is ready for redemption. She’s dying. Dying for new life. For restoration as we are along with her. My spirit felt grieved when I saw nothing but dry leaves on the ground below the tree but I still found joy in the midst of it all. I was happy to be alive to still capture His creations. It was a little different this year for me where this is concerned but I still admire the lessons learnt from nature’s various stages of change and growth. Be blessed & uplifted! God bless β€
I love this blessed twin island state my Father have placed me here for a temporal stay to do His eternal work! It’s beautiful, rich in diversity, multiculturalism, history, good food, excitment and so much more. It’s one of the only countries in the entire world that is named after God’s Triune Deity. *La Trinity/Trinidad: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.*
No matter the grimance and darkness hours this nation faces we always survive and is fortunate to overcome and move forward stronger than ever only by the grace of Jesus. I’ve seen God saved this country over and over and over from massive earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, plagues and so much more that I saw wiped out neighboring isles not too far from us and even countries abroad to literally nothing and we only got just a tip of the iceberg from those disasters and I know it was only because of God’s hands of grace and mercy over this isle!
And because of that I think we took Him for granted and still haven’t turned from our wicked ways as a people and as a nation called by God. So through this virus we are currently fighting against I believe we will truly turn to Him this time. In the midst of it we are still able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the grand restoration, rebuilding and spiritual revival of my homeland. I love it and I won’t trade living anywhere else in the world for it! I’m blessed to be both a citizen of heaven and a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago.

The tide was really high that day.Β
If you look carefully, you’ll see a birdie high up in this palm tree!Β
Took a pic of me taking a pic of the sea ahaha!!! πΒ
The bay was very hospitable to us by offering us fresh fruits with a pinch of salt & sand! πΒ
This bridge on the beach takes you over the river that intersects/runs into the sea to a mini play park for the kiddies and vendors alongside the other end of the bay that sells sweet tasty, local delicacies and other treats! π It was worth crossing lol!Β
Wherever you lead I’ll follow you Lord…. β€Β
Each mountain is shaped as a different animal that separate the bays from the lookout. The first one, a turtle, second a dolphin and the third a crocodile! Do you see them? We did!
I would NEVER forget how strong the Lord’s presence, love & peace was felt here when I stared otherworldly at His majestic creations! I saw His greatness before my eyes and had to burst out in praises to the King β€ God. Is. REAL!!!!

Uncle Sam’s bark and shark is de best! No lie allyuh! *I’m not lying you’ll/it’s the truth* Translation. You have to try it whenever you visit! It was so good! We Trini’s LOVE to have this as well as our international visitor’s whenever visiting Maracas! π
The glory of the LORD overshadows me wherever I go for His glory β€Β
After capturing images, wailing constantly in ohs and ahs, discussing after lunch about the Lord and His Word, walking the large bay from beginning to end and from the end back to the beginning, trying to assist a guy with his phone camera, interrupting a wedding *somewhat* lol, pondering whether to bathe or not and well it was a lot of pondering we did and our feet decided to happily enjoyed the sea bathe instead for the body, so yeah π₯ lol we were sad about our departure buttttt little did we know that we were heading into another adventure, when we lately noticed that our route to home did not. Look. Familiar….!

When we questioned Awong and he told us Mount St. Benedict, we couldn’t be more excited for we always wanted to visit there! God is so good!
Mount St. Benedict is located in the Northwestern vicinity ofΒ St. Augustine, Tunapuna on top of a very high, wining hill that overlooks the East/Southern side of Trinidad. It’s rich in history and also in beauty if you’d asked me π it holds a church, school and other facilities. To know more about Mount St. Benedict you can click on this link:- http://www.mountstbenedictabbey.org
The drive was soothing and the views were stunning on our way there. We didn’t get much time to venture around/ take photo’s because service was going on and they were just about to close, but the 10-15 minutes was worth the panoramic view, tranquility & mediating on God’s Word that I saw operating in life before me…Β
I’ll forever be chasing after you….. I’ll be chasing after you my Lord… β€Β
Overall it was a blessed & enjoyable trip! We ended it with thanks to Almighty && purchasing de best tasting street food on de Avenue at night doubles! It was so good as per usual!

I never had it in the night before and it didn’t do my tummy no harm! Ha! π I can’t wait to see where God will lead us to venture to next! I know it’s going to be amazing! Thank you for reading & coming along with us via photo’s lol! God bless and continue to…..

I was so blessed and contented when my neighbor decided to bless me with these lovely flower plants! These images I captured of them are not recent for they have grown tremendously and even have their own babies now! π₯ ! My gosh! Where have my plants gone?!!! They grow up TOO fast. Any who’s moving away from that fact, lol allow me to bless you with my Father’s grandeur! β€Β
This is Rose! She sends out these cute pink and yellow centered flowers that dries up after a day. She loves sleeping early and running in the tails of the breeze. She’s very quiet like myself as well and a type of ants we call bac-chack on de islands is attracted to her. They never came around her though and that’s good lol πΒ
That piece of wood you see to the back of her stem, my mom placed there to hold her up for she was weak and fragile to stand in the ground of the soil. God taught me a lesson where this is concerned. In this spiritual journey at times we get very weary and we reach to that place where we are unable to stand strong in the Lord and the power of His might, which is eternal. We need the brace *the prayer support, encouragement from others in the body* to stand and fight the good fight of faith again. We can’t fight all the fights on our own. That’s why we need each other in one way or another. Just as Rose needed that wood to stand so that she can grow and has grown beautifully. β€Β
This is Rosa! Her sister! She is a big eater and do not like to sleep at all whatsoever! She loves waving her hands a lot in the wind and births a beautiful yellow and maroon centered flower, that hasn’t come out as yet, but in due time with her Creator. I can’t wait to see it!Β
Β God taught me through this plant. Patience increase as you wait for my reward. Though I haven’t seen her flower yet but I know that I will see it blossom one day. And that’s faith exercised in great measure from the Treasure within me. Jesus β€ gosh I love Him so much! Just because you don’t see that house, car, daughter, son, wife, husband, passport, visa, ministry, school or whatever you are waiting on the Lord for, doesn’t mean that it’s never going to come. It already has. You just have to allow His patience to increase over you as you wait in Him for His reward to come forth like a flower in your life!Β
Blessings, peace and grace! πΒ

Yellow Jep nest/hive the Lord revealed to me that morning, that I was unaware of. When I told mom she was shocked lol as we praised God for His protection always, for we are always below this seasoning tree. πΒ
The pawpaw tree laden with babies in FULL abundance! The paint bucket you see is what we put over the opening of her truck from water getting on the inside whenever rain falls. This occurred when we gave her a *hair trim* more like a tree trimming lol. πΒ
First Avocado Tree out of 3.Β
Paw Paw leaf. This can be brewed into tea. It’s also used for medicinal purposes as well. π Gotta try brewing some tea soon! πΒ
#2 Avocado tree {inside the garden}Β
The peeping Jamaica Seasoning bush. *Yes I renamed it somehow lol!* she’s too cute! β€Β
Aloes.Β
My fav view of the backyard! It’s been a while since I’ve captured the sky/clouds…Β
Meet Peace the fowl of the family! π she’s the most peaceful hen I’ve EVER met. She loves chatting, eating, sunbathes, dirt bathes in the garden *which is not allowed but I give her a bligh with her companions from time to time* , taking quick runs behind you when she see’s her temporal owners come outside, sounding the alarm to get attention and just love being fed peacefully to create some uh….lovely platform pieces that gets mom angry from time to time π lololol!!! Ah, the joys! β€Β Β
And well everyone knows Max! Do keep him in prayer while he continues to be healed from a puncture in his neck from a fight with a pit bull and mange. He’s recovering very good thus far and the wound it has closed up a lot. His hair has started growing back as well on his ears and lower feet. All praises to God for answering our prayers on His creation behalf.Β

Wild flowers springing forth in lifeΒ on the right hand area of the yard. πΒ
Vervine plant. They grow abundantly here on the islands and is used for detoxification & tea. πΒ
Had always admired this hanging vine from off a wild tree. The breeze was blowing strong that morning and I had to tell her stay still, but she wasn’t listening, so I spoke to God about it and He made herΒ stoodΒ still for the shot. Pray to God always. He’s right there waiting for you to talk with Him. β€ And He will show up.Β
This beautiful wild flower gazing up at the sun β€Β
The island’s national flower “The Chaconia” they call these “The Wild Chaconia’s” and said it’s not the original flower but I know that everything My Father created IS original. β€Β
Saw these cute & unique type of flowers lying around on the sole of the ground and said let me capture them! π love discovering new things.Β
My Teacher also taught me a lesson with His art in this image. “No matter how dark around you may look, continue to shine for Christ.”Β
Agreeing with God on the lesson I decided to pick it up and would you look at it’s face! It looks like a starfish π So I’ll call it the Starfish Flower!Β
The peeping into the garden Jamaican seasonings! Haha! Nature can be humorous at times.Β
The Paw Paws are gestating! πΒ
This cute Jamaican seasoning caught my attention as she told “Click me! Click me! Pleaseee!” I was moved with mercy & love and answered her request. πΒ
Garden overview! It’s coming along.Β
Ah! What a picturesque view! β€ I made it! Wait! Wait! Hold on! Before I got to the top of the garden where you get to receive this reward it wasn’t easy! I was pulled back and forth with the strong forceful hands of a wild seasoning tree, as sharp stones with immense heat from the sun pierced my barefoot soles as fear started to take grip in my heart. My flesh/enemy kept saying “You’re not gonna reach higher. It’s too high. You’re afraid of heights. That’s too far. The bank is too steep. What if yuh fall?” As my knee’s trembled below me, I picked up my Sword and said, ” I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me! God you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love & a sound mind! God you created this mountain and you are bigger than this hill! You are with me! I will make it!” As my hands gripped unto to each stone and root He placed in front of me as footholds to move up. So I climbed up with patience and strength higher and higher, crawling like a baby on a ladder obeying His voice where to hold onto next and….THERE! I made it! To the top, capturing the view that was worth climbing the steep & rocky bank for π I shared this to say, that no matter what mountain is before you now, YOU CAN and YOU WILL make it in Jesus name! It may look insurmountable, tumultuous & hopeless, but trust the Creator, listen for His instructions and He will bring you through! He’s right there as He were with me when I climbed that side of the mountain. He taught me that lesson that day and coming back down He provided help by placing holes through {as I waited on a flat surface on the bank patiently looking on}Β my mom dug in the ground with the cutlass to put my foot in so that I don’t fall on the way back down. While I waited for Mom to finish, He showed me that “While you wait on me, I am making a way out for you.” I praised Him for the other lesson as I happily made my way down with Mommy. Trust God at all times. Rely on His promises. What He say, He will do not matter how long it may take. He’s preparing you for greater things and remember you’re not on this journey alone. He places other strong & mature pilgrims (mom) on the way to help you. We’re in this together!Β Β
You were worth climbing for! But spending eternity in the new heaven & earth is more worth it with Christ in the end! β€Β
New tree growing up from the hard rocks of the bank. Don’t see your constant hardships as horror, but as spiritual growth. You’re growing in Christ β€ don’t look at the other’s progression around. Keep focus and keep looking up to the Son of Righteousness as you bloom in His glory.Β
Tambourind treeΒ flowers! πΒ
These were seen in the beginning of the photo’s strip. This is how they look when they bloom! They look somewhat like sunflowers. πΒ
Check your reality list and make sure your right with Christ! For He is coming!Β
Anddd what a lovely way to end it off with this unique pair Angela (in the last pic) and Thomas (in the pic above Angela) β€ they’d my niece & nephew’s pet turtles! πΒ
God bless & let us remember to always…
