I love this blessed twin island state my Father have placed me here for a temporal stay to do His eternal work! It’s beautiful, rich in diversity, multiculturalism, history, good food, excitment and so much more. It’s one of the only countries in the entire world that is named after God’s Triune Deity. *La Trinity/Trinidad: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.*
No matter the grimance and darkness hours this nation faces we always survive and is fortunate to overcome and move forward stronger than ever only by the grace of Jesus. I’ve seen God saved this country over and over and over from massive earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, plagues and so much more that I saw wiped out neighboring isles not too far from us and even countries abroad to literally nothing and we only got just a tip of the iceberg from those disasters and I know it was only because of God’s hands of grace and mercy over this isle!
And because of that I think we took Him for granted and still haven’t turned from our wicked ways as a people and as a nation called by God. So through this virus we are currently fighting against I believe we will truly turn to Him this time. In the midst of it we are still able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the grand restoration, rebuilding and spiritual revival of my homeland. I love it and I won’t trade living anywhere else in the world for it! I’m blessed to be both a citizen of heaven and a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago.

The tide was really high that day.Β
If you look carefully, you’ll see a birdie high up in this palm tree!Β
Took a pic of me taking a pic of the sea ahaha!!! πΒ
The bay was very hospitable to us by offering us fresh fruits with a pinch of salt & sand! πΒ
This bridge on the beach takes you over the river that intersects/runs into the sea to a mini play park for the kiddies and vendors alongside the other end of the bay that sells sweet tasty, local delicacies and other treats! π It was worth crossing lol!Β
Wherever you lead I’ll follow you Lord…. β€Β
Each mountain is shaped as a different animal that separate the bays from the lookout. The first one, a turtle, second a dolphin and the third a crocodile! Do you see them? We did!
I would NEVER forget how strong the Lord’s presence, love & peace was felt here when I stared otherworldly at His majestic creations! I saw His greatness before my eyes and had to burst out in praises to the King β€ God. Is. REAL!!!!

Uncle Sam’s bark and shark is de best! No lie allyuh! *I’m not lying you’ll/it’s the truth* Translation. You have to try it whenever you visit! It was so good! We Trini’s LOVE to have this as well as our international visitor’s whenever visiting Maracas! π
The glory of the LORD overshadows me wherever I go for His glory β€Β
After capturing images, wailing constantly in ohs and ahs, discussing after lunch about the Lord and His Word, walking the large bay from beginning to end and from the end back to the beginning, trying to assist a guy with his phone camera, interrupting a wedding *somewhat* lol, pondering whether to bathe or not and well it was a lot of pondering we did and our feet decided to happily enjoyed the sea bathe instead for the body, so yeah π₯ lol we were sad about our departure buttttt little did we know that we were heading into another adventure, when we lately noticed that our route to home did not. Look. Familiar….!

When we questioned Awong and he told us Mount St. Benedict, we couldn’t be more excited for we always wanted to visit there! God is so good!
Mount St. Benedict is located in the Northwestern vicinity ofΒ St. Augustine, Tunapuna on top of a very high, wining hill that overlooks the East/Southern side of Trinidad. It’s rich in history and also in beauty if you’d asked me π it holds a church, school and other facilities. To know more about Mount St. Benedict you can click on this link:- http://www.mountstbenedictabbey.org
The drive was soothing and the views were stunning on our way there. We didn’t get much time to venture around/ take photo’s because service was going on and they were just about to close, but the 10-15 minutes was worth the panoramic view, tranquility & mediating on God’s Word that I saw operating in life before me…Β
I’ll forever be chasing after you….. I’ll be chasing after you my Lord… β€Β
Overall it was a blessed & enjoyable trip! We ended it with thanks to Almighty && purchasing de best tasting street food on de Avenue at night doubles! It was so good as per usual!

I never had it in the night before and it didn’t do my tummy no harm! Ha! π I can’t wait to see where God will lead us to venture to next! I know it’s going to be amazing! Thank you for reading & coming along with us via photo’s lol! God bless and continue to…..

“Why look ye for the living amongst the dead?” *the one’s to the left are dead. Rose bears flowers daily and they only last the day and die during the night. A perfect example of how short our days on earth are and why we must cherish it and consume the time He has given us wisely to proceed with His will* β€
Rosa bloomed very late. But it was totally worth the wait! β€ the red dot’s remained me of His holy blood that was shed for us, making us beautiful from the inside out. β€ God’s creation reflects His character in a lot of known and unknown ways that one can only see through the eyes of the Spirit and intimacy with Him.
This extra plant grow out from Rosa’s root, which is actually her child. I haven’t named her as yet though! Where did that time go??!!! I didn’t even get chance to see her graduate π¦ lol!!

FUN FACTS!
^Mount Saint Benedict Abbey was established in 1912 on 240 acres of land approximately 700 feet above sea level, purchased by Dom Mayeul De Caigny, a Brazilian Benedictine monk from Trinidadian Andrew Gomez. By June 27, 1912, the land was officially Benedictine property.
^Today, with its tower and red roofs, the abbey consists of a church, a monastery, a seminary, a drug rehabilitation center, a yogurt factory, and Pax Guest House, a place for retreat. The abbey welcomes and draws people of all faiths seeking peace, solace, purpose, and fulfillment.Β Mount Saint Benedict is currently presided over by Abbot John Pereira and houses ten monks.
