Sunshine Blogger Awards and…others I can’t recall!

Well…here I am once again not recalling what awards the blog was nominated for and yet responding to them so…very…LATE. Yes, I’m still working on that and thank you for forgiving me once more! ❤ 🙂 

Helloooooooooooooooo my beautiful family! How is everyone? 😀 So without further ado I’m just going to jump straight into the questions I was asked pertaining to the Sunshine Blogger Awards. Thanks much Dawn over at Drawing Closer to Christ blog for nominating the blog! Blessings & grace to you! Go check my sis blog out! 

1 What’s an important lesson you’ve learned in life? 

To be patient and allow God to direct you ALWAYS! Don’t do nothing out of the will of Christ for your life. ❤ 

2 What is a good book you’ve read? 

I LOVE reading it everyday and that’s the Word of God! The Bible ❤ Its not just a “good book” its DE GREATEST BOOK!  

3 What is your favorite characteristic about yourself? 

I’ll say my humor haha! 😀 

4 What are your hobbies? 

I don’t consider them hobbies but God-given talents that are used for God’s honor and glory. That is singing, dancing, writing,acting, designing etc. 

5 Why did you start blogging? 

To minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world through art and quotes but God is using it in GREATER ways for his honor and glory! I would always say thanks to my sis in Christ/bestie Dee for always pushing me to start a blog. ❤ 

6 What topics, if any, have you wanted to write about but haven’t because you feel your “fan base” would not approve? 

 First  things first…I don’t write to please man. I write to please God and for the lost to know that they can be found in Christ Jesus. I have no fans and I don’t see my family on here as fans. They are family. ❤ All of us have fans that are workable in our homes right? They blow good breeze don’t it? 😉 

7 Are you married or single, kids or no kids? 

HAHA! I once was and still is in the fiction world of course! 😀 but in reality NOPE! I’m happy  to be single. 🙂 

8 What are you passionate about and why? 

To follow Jesus where ever He leads me for His will to be done! And why? Because man needs to come back to there first love Jesus Christ. ❤ He loves us so much. Hell is real. He doesn’t want ANY to perish but to have everlasting life through Jesus Christ by receiving Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Jesus died setting all humanity free from sin. None of us was worthy to pay that price for our salvation in Christ accept JESUS CHRIST. ❤ 

9 What is your favorite food? 

I love DUMPLINGS! I can eat it with anything without anything too and it tastes so good! We here on de islands love adding something extra to our dumplings like ginger, sugar, cornmeal etc. I love adding sugar to mines whenever I make it with saltfish. ❤ 

10 What is one of your favorite memories? 

Being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost! Thank you Jesus for saving me! I’m nothing without you my Lord! ❤

11 If you could wake up in the morning in a different place, where would that place be? 

France, Morocco, Jerusalem or Switzerland ❤

1 What inspired you to start blogging? 

God and art! ❤

2 What’s your favorite movie quote? 

It once was my fav when I was a movie addict, from the movie Forest Gump. “Life is like a box of chocolate Forest. You never know what you gonna get.”

3 How often do you post on your blog? 

Not regularly. I scheduled my posts from months before so that I won’t be on the blog daily. I do have a lot of other duties to attend to away from the blog. I try not to make it become an idol.

4 If you could ask your future self one question what would it be? 

Are you still in love with Jesus?

5 What was your last blog post about?

6 If you could live anywhere where would that be? 

In my Father’s house there’s a place for me that He has prepared. In the new heaven and earth ❤ that’s in my eternal home/ life after this life. But on earth… Switzerland ❤

7 What’s your favorite thing about keeping a blog? 

To bring the lost, battered, blind and hurting to Jesus Christ and those who already believe & received Him as their personal Lord and Savior closer to His heart! 🙂

Before we begin, I’ll like to thank everyone who asked! I appreciate it very much. So…

Oopsie! I meant, my turn to answer your wonderful questions now! So I only have one question to ask: Are you ready?

Question #1 comes from Ryan Callahan and which was: Have you ever been to America?

ANSWER:- Yes! A lot in my dreams and through online photography! Haha! Nope never been to but one day be it God’s will.

Question #2 was asked by Prior House Blog: What is your favorite Bible verse now and why?

ANSWER:- Ah, hmmm I guess it’ll be Job 37:10 which states, By the breath of God frost is given, and the breadth of the waters is straitened. And why? Because God is truly wonderful! He created all things! The beautiful skies, seas, forests, trees, you and me! He’s just so awesome and His creations are founded by His Wisdom! He is the only wise God! And this scripture reminds me of His wondrous works I admire before me when He wakes up everyday! Knowing that He IS God and He created all things. Knowing that He is real and He is not that far away.

Question #3 derives from Asked by Thought For Change Blog: How are you doing?

ANSWER:- I’m doing GREAT! I’m in my bed at this moment answering these questions at 3:21 in the morning, from under my coverlet lolol so I’m great! Haha!

Question #4 comes from Rachel’s Novels and she asked: What is your favorite Doris Day movie?

ANSWER:- I have no idea who’s Doris Day to be honest, so I’m guessing I haven’t seen any movie by him or her! Sorry!

Question #5 also came from Rachel’s Novels: If today is Monday, what is the day after the day before the day tomorrow?

ANSWER:- Is this a mathematical question in Spanish that one comprehends in English? Whatttttt? Lol Well first to begin with, today is not Monday. Its Thursday so the day before the day before will be Monday! Aha! Well would look at that! Its Monday again! Yay! Lololol

Question #6  comes from Meeting Jesus blog: What is your favorite memory?

ANSWER:-That will be when I gave my life to Jesus. I will NEVER forget that day! I came out of the water a new creature in Christ! I was smiling so much! Haha! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me! For washing me in your precious, holy, powerful blood! Glory to the Living and eternal Lamb of God! Amen!

Question #7 was asked by michnavs: Do you have a plan on writing an inspirational book?

ANSWER:- I actually did! A poetry one by the way. I’m still putting it together. There’s A LOT of work needed to be done still where that is concerned but in God’s perfect timing.

Question #8 – actually, they’re 2 questions – comes from The Lonely Author: What is your favorite food? And favorite song? 

ANSWER:- Haha! Ohhhhh if I said ALL the foods in the world would you believe me? Then don’t for it’s not true haha! Think I’ve answered this a couple of times before so you guys should know already! Ha! It’ll be dumplings & saltfish. I really like dumplings!

My favorite song right now will be In the Midst of Thee by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I love that song! I love singing it to my Savior while I bask in his presence!

Question #9 derives from Lee Luigon: Have you read any of my books yet?

ANSWER:- No Lee, I haven’t as yet! Probably you should ship some for me to add to my library eh? Lol

Question #10: What’s your favorite lizard?

ANSWER:- Lee, to be honest, I’m not much of a lizard lover but I do admire the ones that live in our house. They have their own lil neighborhood going on in our ceiling, behind the wall frames and stuff lolol! You’ll love them. They’re well behaved and quiet. I mean not when they’re fighting, eating or just trying to get my attention of course. Haha!

Question #11 is by my bestie of course Hehe!: When is the best time you can read? 

ANSWER:- Hmmm, well that’ll be in the evening hours like around 2-3PM when the sun is beaming and the birds are chirping! Haha! I don’t know if its just me but I love reading in the evening! You’ll barely get me reading in the night, unless it’s the Holy Bible (which I read not just only in the night but all during the entire day from sunrise to sunset!)  ❤ Yeah I’m addicted to the Word!

Question #12 comes from Shantanu Barauh: What defines you?

ANSWER:- My incredulous laughter (which you can hear every other minute of the day when you’re in my presence lolol) humility and kindheartedness. I love putting a smile on someone’s face and feeding them encouraging words of life from my Father in Heaven. Even when I feel out of it or downtrodden I still have that ability to make someone laugh! Haha! 😀

Ha! World-cup is beyond gone now and my island didn’t qualified for it for I pay no attention to local football. LOL!

I’m not one to get angry all the time for I’m always rejoicing in the basking of my Heavenly Father’s presence! But when the enemy tries to make strife I just call on the Holy Spirit and he calms me down….A LOT! ❤ 

5. What’s your idea on feminism?

Hmm…these questions are very difficult for my humorism LOL! All females are beautiful and you are loved by the Kings of kings and Lords of lords, Jesus Christ ❤

7. Do you think we can achieve world peace; if yes how and if no why not? 

Through Jesus Christ! ❤

Living as Christ lived ❤

I think it has its advantages and disadvantages, according to how one utilizes it. If its becoming apart of your daily life, that means you have a serious addiction! I try not to let social media overrule my outer/inner being. I have my limitations. The less apps, the better for me! 🙂 

10. As a person what can you say the government of your country has done for you? 

HAHAHA! The government can’t do nothing for me. Jesus Christ does EVERYTHING for me! He’s in control and man will NEVER achieve the ruling power my Savior has over ALL nations. ❤

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

So lemme get right into…..

Ok lemme pause a bit, just for the sake of my new friends and family here in the blogging world, who’s new to Sally 😀 she’s my coconut tree given and created by God for me to parent temporally; for the last 15 years she swayed through a lot of difficulties and after 13 years of drying she’s finally bearing babies! ❤ 

So, now that you guys know that,now you’ll know what this random piece is gonna be about!  

YA’LL READY TO GET EMOTIONAL?!!! Let’s goooooooo!!!! 

It was on one sunny morning, when I just got from talking with my Heavenly Father and was about to go read The Bible I heard a crashing noise behind the house! I was like, “Ways that?” (Translate to what’s that in Trini)  as I ran to the windows that stare directly into our backyard peering out only to see nothing but God’s stunning creations. My thoughts muttered, Oh well I guess its nothing…so moving back to my former position before getting there I heard a shaking sound that came from Sally’s home (which is actually just above our house on a bank) haha! I ran to the backdoor and noticed Sally was being attacked by my………..MOTHER! 

I stood there dumbfounded at the horrific scene as I watched the last girl or boy baby from two flew to the ground horrendously! I’ve failed being a good tree mother BIG time! 😦 And you know what my Mom said to me after the attack, “Go and pick them up!” Like seriously! THOSE ARE INNOCENT COCO-TWINS JUST CRASHED THROUGH MID AIR AND ARE DAMAGED! YOU DON’T WITNESS BIRTHS LIKE THAT EVERY MONDAY! 

Anywho’s Sally wasn’t injured and she looked quite finer and lighter to me as I collected baby one that fell at the side of the walls of my father’s construction site he got going on in the backyard and baby two fell into a drain that leads into a large river at the back of our home. Thank The Almighty that it was dry that day 😀 HAHA! 

They both were actually lol and they were twin girls! EEEEEE!!! Sapphire and Rose! ❤ 

Allow me to share Le lovely photos I captured of them 🙂 hehehe! I guess after sorrow is joy? Haha! Well, in this story! 

Rose landed/borned with her eyes closed. She really enjoyed her fall to the ground I guess. 

There she is again, showing off her side scars and all. 

Here’s Sapphire who couldn’t stop crying with those beautiful emerald eyes! ❤ 

She was really emotional and it made me cry to see her this way after her fall. LOL! 

Just in case you were wondering who was photo-bombing the twins in ze pics. It’s our beautiful tomato tree, whose in the bearing season as well.  

Both girls together twinning, sleep-crying-smiling… 

Both having a dry beverage for themselves, by themselves. 

I guess they didn’t fall too lightly after all! *sighs*

You see the saddest thing about Sally’s babies is that they didn’t last forever 😦 how heartbreaking is that to us?

Question #1 derives from my Canadian brother at dfolstad58 blog which is:- Do you have anything collect as a hobby? 

 ANSWER:- Is laughing a collective hobby? Nah, I don’t think so, but I guess it will be taking photos of nature. Wherever I go be it around de islands or just in my backyard I LOVE snapping photos of plants, buildings, trees (sometimes people when they volunteer me for a minute job whenever I’m out haha!) but mainly nature cause I love God’s grandeur A LOT and like being around it all the time. ❤ 

Question #2 comes from my poetic sister from Thought for Change blog that is:- What is your favorite song? 

ANSWER:- Hmmmmmmm…. Oh sorry darling that’s NOT my favorite song to make but its quite popular, I’m sure you heard it before. LOL! To be honest I have no idea-…..justttt kidding. The song I’m really loving right now is Lauren Daigle new single called “You Say” ❤ I love songs that minsters to my heart and helps me draw closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ<3 I believe that every believer and non-believer should listen to this song. Lauren…YOU DID IT AGAIN GIRL! 

And no she isn’t a “Christian Adele” too many believers are titling her by that and its just not right! You needs to stop. She is a child of God. 

Question #3 came from my sweet sister in Christ kylieceline over at Kylie’s Corner and More blog which is:- What led you to start a blog? 

ANSWER:- The Holy Spirit of God and my bestie. She always used to encourage me to open one and I was somewhat avoiding it haha and low and behold one day while I was producing art the Lord spoke to me about creating a blog concerning art only and well BOOM! That was it. He have His way and well He’s doing AWESOME things through it. ❤ 

Question #4 was asked by my married self for myself LOL! I’m just joking but this new sister of mines recently followed the blog and she has my name aha! Tamie Jones asked:- What are three qualities you love about yourself? 

ANSWER:- Haha! Ouuuuuu I love my sense of HUMOR as you can see! My jolly spirit and humility. I really love my laughter too as well and most times I laugh at myself with myself LOLOL! I’m an encourager as well, I love encouraging others A LOT! ❤ I have a heart for children too…did I mention that? Any who’s…that’s enough! 

Question #5 from my Virginian brother Lloyd at lloyd’slensphotography llc asked:- What is your most used scripture? 

ANSWER:- Wow! I have so many but recently the one I’m clinging unto these days are Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.

ANSWER:- Let’s see…hmm I don’t think I have accomplished that yet Shan 😦 lol but I’m I willing to? Ah, well you’ll have to wait and see! 😀 but if you have one in mind for me to do, inform me ya? HAHA! 

Question #7 comes from my lovely and humble sister in Christ believe4147 blog:- What would you like us to know about you and why? 

ANSWER:- Oh dear! What a coincidence! Hahaha! Well, whatever you guys will love to know about me. Be it about my country, family, race, hair type, food choice, the reason for our pets running away ahaha!!!! Art…you know de basics lol! And why…because you all are my family away from my family ❤

ANSWER:- Girllllllllll lol I LOVE ALL MY POSTS! I don’t think I have fav one at all 😀 and why? Because I have a passion for the things of Jesus and people you know. And I love doing what God is allowing me to do through this blog because its for his honor and glory and I just love knowing that I can shine my light through the blog so that others will see that He lives in me and that there is still HOPE. ❤ 

Question #9 was asked by my brother Warren Richards who loves the Lord and loves writing about His Eternal loveeeeee all the time, which I loveeeee lol did I mention LOVE? Any who’s here is Le question:- 

What is your favorite book in the Bible? 
ANSWER:- THE BOOK OF PSALMS ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ Gosh, David wrote this book for me. I swear! 

Question #10 asked by my ONE and only bestie/sister in Christ Diana Tyler across at Eccentric Muse ❤ which is:- What is your favorite dish to make? Like if she doesn’t know this LOL! 

ANSWER:- Ok so she doesn’t know so that’s why I’m going to give her de answer now lol. Well I guess it will have to be dumplings with salt fish or anything that is succulent. I really love dumplings! ❤ I like my dishes to be unique so hence the reason why I in-cooperate foreign recipes with our local meals we deliciously prepare here on de islands 😉

Erm…on de 14th of September 1993 ahaha lol just kidding, I wasn’t even born yet! But I started blogging on the 14th of September, 2017 up till now. 

#13 What or who inspired you to blog? 
GOD/INSPIRED/ART (blog title) Got it? God and Art inspired me to blog. Through His inspiration my art is produced. 🙂 Would you look at how He orchestrated that? ❤

Between 2-3 rings, according to whose calling! If its someone I really wanna talk to I’ll answer right away LOL!

OH YESSSSS! A LOT actually. I have some exciting trips booked with my church/bestie and upcoming performances,meetings and the list goes on! 

I LOVE working for Christ! Best. Job. Ever. ❤

Here in sweet Trinidad and Tobago we have various beaches. I live near several myself and they are all beautiful but my ultimate fav will always be Las Cuevas alongside Columbus Bay ❤ (which I haven’t been to yet lol)

81) Can you drive a stick shift?

What in the world is that?

I’m sorry but we don’t drive such vehicles anymore and who’s Tammy? LOL! 

Hahaaaa…I don’t drive but I get pickup from my older sister sometimes! 😀 

82) What’s your favorite candle scent?

I don’t really have one but I love the jammy aroma from our Apple Soy scented candle which was given to us as an gift from abroad last Christmas! 🙂 

83) Have your pants ever fallen down in public?

HAHAHA! Funny story,but yes! It was a night during acting rehearsals where we were rehearsing for a dance scene and the mic that they placed on my pants were a little heavy and I forgot to wear my belt that night! So part of the dance was to  run across midway and point your hands to the ceiling and on lifting my hands up I felt my pants slipping off my waist! I was like oh boy! Please don’t fall! Please don’t fall! I started praying to God in my mind and luckily it stopped on my legs lol! 

My heart was racing as my face veneered in panic sweat! LOL! But I thank God for:-
1. He answered my prayer and saved me from embarrassment! 
2. Wearing a long dress from the actor’s wardrobe! 😀 

84) Do you sing in the shower?

I love singing! I’ve taken a break and can’t wait to resume in March ❤ not from singing  while I bathe of course lol! I love singing while bathing ❤ 

85) Can you speak another language?

More like languages aha! I speak Spanish and a few French, Korean, German, Italian, African, Hindi, Swedish and Chinese! 😀 

86) Can you close your eyes and raise your eyebrows?

Yesssss!!!!! 😀 Its like exercising my brows! I’m sure they are more fit than myself haha!

DOGS OVER EVERYTHING! Except over Jesus and food of course ❤ aha!

When I used to wear it, it would have been the cherry one for sure and on many occasions tried to eat them lol! Ah! Dem good old days 🙂 

90) Which came first–the chicken or the egg?

Hmmm…let’s see. When consuming chicken I don’t see an egg. I don’t feel an egg. I don’t eat an egg. There’s just merely no egg…that’s it. Its just the chicken. And me. It came first but I ate it last.
